Koh Pich City a surprisingly popular hangout

For decades, both weekends and weekdays, people of all ages can be seen eating and sitting around the public garden along the riverside or at the Royal palace.
Nowadays, it seems a little bit different from before because many people, especially the younger crowd, choose to relax and meet their friends or family on Koh Pich Island.
Chea Chan Minea, a university student, said, “We meet up, sit on mats and enjoy food, drinks and each other’s company.”
Chan Minea gave his reasons for choosing the Koh Pich area, “Although it is not the popular riverside, we can find large areas to lounge. I see both young and old groups come here on Koh Pich Island.”
Jokingly, Chan Minea added with a grin, “In this place, there are a lot of beautiful girls travelling by motor-bike along the road.”
Koh Pich is not just a hot spot for Chan Minea and his friends, many others both young and old come to Koh Pich to relax and spend time together.
