Cambodian Tourism Entrepreneurs Call for Unity and Peaceful Mechanism

Cambodia’s major tourism associations have successively extended congratulations on the success of the general elections on July 28 and called for peaceful resolution to avoid the political turmoil in the country.
“A peaceful nation is a prevalent key opportunity to a comprehensive and sustainable progress,” said Pacific Asia Travel Association Cambodia Chapter (PATACC) in the statement. “This opportunity is a seed to the growth of our country. We must water them with diligence, nourish them with determination, and cultivate them with dedication.”
PATACC noted this fragile time being placed in a high risk situation, due to the different principles and understanding of both parties, especially the Cambodian People’s Party and the Cambodia National Rescue Party. It thus called on both parties to find a peaceful way to resolve any conflict in order to achieve Cambodia’s goals.
Besides PATACC, Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA), Cambodia Restaurant Association (CRA), Angkor Handicraft Association (AHA), etc. have also issued similar statements, expressing their strong support to the election process and results to be announced officially in the near future, and urging both political parties to find a peaceful resolution to their dispute for the country’s future progress and development.
