Women Play Vital Role in Tourism Development

Women have been playing a vital role in the tourism sector, said H.E. Thong Khon, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, at a celebration of the 103rd anniversary of International Women’s Day held here late last week.

The development of tourism sector is inseparable from the women’s participation, underlined H.E. Minister.

Up to now, some 600,000 people have been working in tourism services, of them 60 percent are women, he pointed out.

H.E. Thong Khon also sought for more women’s participation in promoting the movement of clean city and green city.
