To celebrate the festive season, Public House is offering Christmas-themed lunch and dinner set menus every day between December 10 and 31. The deals, which cost $30, include a glass of bubbles and a choice of prawn cocktail or asparagus drowned in butter to start with. Upgrade to food and unlimited wine for $60. The main can be turkey breast wrapped in bacon or roast lamb with both served with roast vegetables and gravy. Pudding is Christmas cake. The venue is also available to businesses, friends and families for private Christmas and New Year parties.

Raffles Hotel Le Royal
The luxury hotel’s buffet style meal will offer a selection of cold cuts, including smoked duck breast, smoked chicken and pastrami accompanied by a number of terrines. For something more traditional they will have a roasted turkey, fresh water lobster risotto and seared goose liver, concluding with a Yule log cake and a visit from Santa Claus. The meal includes signature wines, beers, mineral water, soft drinks and chilled juices ($125) or go all out with unlimited GH Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut Champagne ($165).

Sofitel is offering a full package of Christmas meals this year. At 6pm on Christmas Eve, chef Craig Napper at La Coupole will put on an extensive menu of goodies ($78 for adults, $39 for children), including cream of sweet potato with shallow fried oyster in champagne and pan fried goose liver with shallot marmalade. For dessert, expect Maroons ice cream with vanilla biscotti and almond panna cotta with mixed berry sauce. Christmas brunch will follow the next day ($89 for adults or $109 with unlimited Champagne).

Alley Cat
For cheaper Christmas cheer, Alley Cat has a rich offering. They will be welcoming guests with a glass of eggnog, before dishing up a light entree of green shell mussels. The main feast will consist of a traditional Christmas turkey, Italian style porchetta ham with an orange and cranberry stuffing and sausages. Accompanied by roasted veggies with a large serving of roast potatoes, baked cauliflower and cheese with walnuts and gravy for you. The feast will finish off with a Christmas pudding and cheesecake. The cost is $19.50.

Feel like doing Christmas lunch or dinner at home? Don’t worry, Dan Meats has you covered. You can get a turkey frozen ($7/kilo) or roasted with stuffing and gravy ($15/kilo) or a smoked Christmas ham ($10/kilo) delivered to your door. Roast chickens and ducks (both $10/kg) are also available. The butcher needs about a week’s notice for roast birds and four days for hams. The turkeys are imported frozen from the US, while Dan Meats smoke the hams themselves from Cambodian pigs.
