Three nights of consecutive live concerts, organised by NagaWorld in collaboration with City Hall, featuring a host of Cambodian celebrities, attracted massive turnouts who experienced the first-of-its-kind, large-scale Khmer New Year celebrations at Hun Sen Park last weekend.
The crowd were treated to traditional Apsara performance, as well as local and international bands, musicians and street performers throughout the day. On Friday night, Cambodian music fans were treated to a magnificent live concert by popular singers Sokun Nisa and Khemarak Sereymun.
On Saturday night, the crowd were entertained by The Voice Kids Cambodia winner Pich Thai, energetic duo Kmeng Khmer and young female starlet Yuri. The final concert on Sunday night featured rap superstar G-Devith, Pich Thai, and the sons of local legend Preap Sovath – Sovath Monivann, Sovath Monineak and Sovath Sereyvuth.
The live concerts were held in a carnival-like atmosphere which also showcased giant-sized displays, festive decorations and a line up of various activities.
The unique celebrations were launched on 13 April and provided a mesmerising experience for everyone and showcased Cambodia’s rich culture, hospitality for locals and tourists alike.
