Russian Pacific Fleet Ships to Visit Cambodia

AKP Phnom Penh, August 29, 2011–The Russian Pacific Fleet Ships head by big anti submarine ship Admiral Panteleev to dock at the port of Sihanoukville in September, Russian Embassy’s press release today said.

According to the press release, Adminral Panteleev will dock at the Sihanoukville on September 8-13 aims at strengthening military cooperation between Cambodia and Russian Navy.

This is a historical visit of the Russian Navy to Cambodia and it will mark a new chapter in military interaction between Cambodia and Russian, the press release said.

The program of the visit will included meeting of Russian Senior Navy Officer together with Russian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Alexander Ignatov, governor of Sihanoukville province and city, the head of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, head of Ream Navy base and the senior officer of National Defense.
