Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has ordered the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Ministry of Tourism to jointly re-examine the passenger transportation companies in response to recent serious traffic accidents.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the rehabilitation of National Road No. 56 held in Banteay Meanchey province on Thursday, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his concern over the road traffic accidents, especially on tour buses, stressing that it is a serious catastrophe to the Cambodian economy, especially tourism.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen requested all the passenger transportation companies to pay attention to this issue, if not it will affect our tourism sector.
