ASTA is also pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Cheryl Hudak, CTC, and its Executive Vice President and COO, William Maloney, CTC, will serve as guest speakers.

?When an international travel professional joins ASTA they are instantly connected to other travel professionals around the world,? said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. ?In addition to outstanding networking opportunities and numerous other services, our international members have the backing of the world?s largest association of travel professionals.?

ASTA?s presence at WTM is part of an aggressive campaign designed to increase its international membership by 50 percent. As an ASTA member, international and domestic travel professionals receive the resources and support needed to become more successful at selling travel.

Travel agencies, tour operators and suppliers are eligible to join ASTA. Hudak is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 3:30 until 4:30, in Room 8 of the North Gallery. This workshop, ?It?s All in the Family ? Cashing in on Multigenerational and Friendship Travel Packaging? explains how ?Baby Boomers? and ?Generation X?ers? are eager to spend money on vacations that will give them the chance to get reacquainted with their friends and family. Tour operators, cruise lines, hotel representatives and travel agents who want to sell this increasingly popular travel trend will benefit by attending this workshop.

Maloney will present ?Green is Gold? on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 4:30 until 5:30, in Room 8 of the North Gallery. Maloney?s workshop will highlight the various ways in which US travel retailers are working to be greener and how selling responsible travel can benefit businesses worldwide.
