Asian Wings Airways will operate a weekly flight from Mandalay to Chiang Mai, Thailand’s most popular northern destination, later this month, but only for the peak season.
The newest airline in Myanmar said it will fly from Mandalay to Chiang Mai starting from 29 January to serve travel demand between the two cities.
Using an ATR72-500, the upcoming route will be just one a week on a Wednesday departing Mandalay Tada-U International Airport to Chiang Mai International Airport.
The flight will depart Mandalay at 1410 and arrive in Chiang Mai at 1550. The return flight will leave Chiang Mai at 1635 and arrive in Mandalay at 1715. All times are local.
The service will operate from 29 January to 30 April this year during the peak travel season.
Asian Wings flies to 16 domestic destinations from Yangon using ATR 72-500s aircraft. Last year, it offered charter flights to Bodh Gaya.
