Nok flies to Khon Kaen

Nok Air will operate twice daily flights from Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport) to Khon Kean effective 1 July.
According to the airline, the new route will serve growing demand for travel to Khon Kaen a town known as a commercial and educational hub for the Northeast. It also attracting events and is a gateway for travel to upper Isan.
Using a B737-800, the airline will offer two daily flights one in the morning and the other in the evening.

The airline sets its lowest one-way fare at Bt737, inclusive of airport taxes and fees and clearly undercuts all competition. Thai AirAsia operates three daily flights to Khon Kaen with a fare of around Bt1,190, while THAI Airways services five daily flights at Bt1,500.
Khon Kaen is one of the fastest growing provinces in Thailand and both Laos and Vietnam have consulates there to process visa applications, although there are no direct flights from its airport to neighbouring countries.
The province is also one of the MICE cities besides Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai.
