Thai Airways International launches a lucky draw to boost its popularity

BANGKOK - Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is organizing the biggest promotion of the year called “Luck is in the Air,” for THAI customers to try their luck every week to win free Royal Silk Class tickets valued at over eight million baht.

Flying Officer Suraphon Israngura Na Ayuthya, THAI Acting Executive Vice President of Commercial said, “The campaign ‘Luck is in the Air' is THAI’s way of giving back to valued customers and to support the country’s policy to boost tourism and the economy.”

To participate in the ‘Luck is in the Air’ lucky draw, customers need only to purchase a roundtrip domestic or roundtrip international ticket during the campaign period from 18 August to 30 October 2014, for flights operated by Thai Airways International or operated by THAI Smile Airways, and fly on these tickets from 18 August to 31 December 2014. Customers can send their 13-digit ticket number (217- xxxxxxxxxx) by SMS to 4811130 (three-baht fee per SMS) for a chance to win prizes as follows. Only tickets issued from Thailand during the campaign period are eligible.

First Lucky Draw – 40 pairs of THAI Royal Silk Class air tickets will be given away. For 10 weeks, THAI will conduct weekly drawings at THAI’s head office on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road giving away four pairs of tickets each week, with the first weekly Lucky Draw beginning on 22 August until the final lucky draw on 24 October 2014. Winners’ names will be announced at thaiairways.com and in the Thai Rath newspaper on Friday, the week following the lucky draw. Winners from the First Lucky Draw may also be eligible for the Grand Prize Lucky Draw on 31 October 2014.

Grand Prize Lucky Draw – A single prize worth one million baht will be given away for travel on any THAI operated flights to any THAI destination, to be used within one year. The Grand Prize will be drawn on 31 October 2014, with the lucky winner’s name to be announced in the Thai Rath newspaper on 7 November 2014.

To be eligible to send SMS for the lucky draws, customers must issue tickets during 18 August – 30 October 2014. In order for lucky draw winners to use their prize tickets, customers must have flown on the purchased tickets (that were used to send in the SMS for the lucky draw eligibility) within 31 December 2014.
