PG adds Chiang Mai services

BANGKOK Bangkok Airways will launch new services and more flights to strengthen its domestic network and extend its reach in ASEAN, ahead of the ASEAN Economic Community due to be introduced in early 2015.
Chiang Mai becomes an important hub for the airline as its inaugurates new services; Chiang Mai-Mandalay (three weekly), Chiang Mai-Yangon (four weekly), Chiang Mai-Udon Thani (two daily) and Chiang Mai-Phuket (daily) all starting, 26 October and now open for bookings.
Out of its Bangkok Suvarnabhumi base, the airline will add frequencies on its popular Bangkok-Krabi route from three to four flights daily effective 26 October.
On 1 November, it will increase its Bangkok-Chiang Rai service from two to three daily flights. The additional service will be a mid-day departure from Chiang Rai.
At present, Bangkok Airways has codeshare agreements with various international airlines such as; EVA Air, Etihad Airways, Air Berlin, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, SilkAir, Finnair, Malaysia Airlines, Japan Airline, Cathay Pacific Airways, British Airways, Qatar Airways and Qantas.
Currently, Bangkok Airways serves 10 domestic destinations: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Pattaya (U-Tapao), Trat, Phuket, Samui, Krabi and Udon Thani, and 13 scheduled international routes: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Maldives, Dhaka, Mumbai, Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw (political capital of Myanmar).
