BANGKOK The THAI Board of Directors approved, last week, a THAI Smile plan to continue operating out of both Don Mueang Airport and Suvarnabhumi airports for the winter schedule 2014/15 which starts 26 October.
THAI Smile will continue to operate from Don Mueang Airport to three existing destinations – Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, and Phuket including direct flights from Chiang Mai to Phuket. It will also increase frequencies to these destinations.
Flight from Don Mueang to Chiang Mai will increase from three to four flights daily and to Phuket flight will increase from two to three flights daily.
The Don Mueang – Khon Kaen flight will remain three flights daily. Chiang Mai – Phuket flight will also continue with just one flight daily.
In addition, THAI Smile operations out of Suvarnabhumi Airport for the winter traffic schedule 2014/15 are as follows:
Four daily flights each to Udon Thani and Hat Yai and two daily flights each to Krabi, Surat Thani and Ubon Ratchathani. Two flights daily will be introduced to Macau starting 26 October.
The flights from Don Mueang Airport are scheduled to cater to domestic travellers, while the services out of Suvarnabhumi are to destinations that have connecting traffic from THAI’s regional and long-haul services and this is reflected in the departure times.
