Vietjet adds A320

SINGAPORE Vietjet took delivery of its latest A320 aircraft from Hamburg, Germany, earlier this week, the second of 100 Airbus A320s ordered by the airline.
The new aircraft was purchased through a financing agreement with GE Capital in the US and TPBank in Vietnam.
The delivery of the single-aisle aircraft means the airline can now crank up flights during the peak holiday season spanning Christmas, New Year and Vietnam’s Lunar New Year, Tet in early 2015.
inside no 5The airline has a fleet of 19 aircraft, double what it had three years ago. It has flown 8 million passengers in those three years and currently operates 26 domestic and international routes.
Airbus 320s are used on daily services flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City where travellers can connect to other cities within Vietnam.
It also flies to Bangkok, Siem Reap, Taipei and Seoul.
VietJet is one of the few airlines in the region that offers express check-in at all airports for passengers over 65 years, expectant mothers, and families travelling with infants.
