PG and Jet Airways codeshare

MUMBAI  India’s Jet Airways and Bangkok Airways, a Thailand-based regional airline, have signed a codeshare agreement with sales due to start 30 April.
Under the arrangement, Jet Airways will place its marketing code on Bangkok Airways’ flights between Mumbai (BOM) and Bangkok (SWB).

The codeshare will provide more choices for customers between India and Thailand, with seamless and connections.

Jet Airways’ chief commercial officer, Raj Sivakumar, said: “Established as the second largest economy in Southeast Asia, Thailand has seen exponential growth in trade and tourism, attracting travellers from across the world including India. These codeshare flights will offer convenient travel options between India and Bangkok for business and leisure. This new partnership reinforces our commitment towards developing a robust network across regions.”
Bangkok Airways’ senior vice president, network management, Peter Wiesner said: “The codeshare services will allow customers to have better frequency to connect to Bangkok. We believe this partnership will offer a unique advantage for Jet Airways’ passengers who will enjoy our unparalleled services, which include: free lounge access, in-flight meal and many more. I am confident that this will also strengthen Bangkok Airways’ extensive codeshare scheme of 17 codeshare partners including Jet Airways.”
With the addition of the new partnership with Bangkok Airways, Jet Airways now has 21 codeshare partners worldwide.
Jet Airways currently operates three daily frequencies between Mumbai and Bangkok and a daily flight between Delhi and Bangkok and going onward to Ho Chi Minh.
The airline currently operates a fleet of 116 aircraft to serve 73 destinations. Jet Airways is a member airline of Etihad Airways Partners.
