BANGKOK Thai AirAsia X will increase flights from daily to two daily between Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK)-Seoul Incheon (ICN), starting 25 October this year.
The airline CEO, Nadda Buranasiri, said Seoul and Bangkok continue to be a very popular destination for both Thai and Korean travellers.
“Since our inaugural flight to Seoul in June 2014, we have reached an average load factor of 83%. There is great potential for this route to grow…in order to meet this demand, the airline will launch a second daily flight.”
inside no 3During January to May this year, 201,480 Thai visitors travelled to South Korea, an increase of 1.4% from 198,654 compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile 550,699 Korean visitors travelled to Thailand during the first five months of the year, an increase of 18.8% compared to the same period last year, he said.
Thai AirAsia X offers on board sales for a Sky Ticket service. They can also purchase one-day pass tickets to visit Lotte World Adventure Theme Park, or purchase a limousine bus service from Incheon International Airport to Cheongnyangni Station or Myeong-Dong Station.
Travellers resident in Chiang Mai, Krabi, or Phuket, can buy the airline’s Fly-Thru service. Passengers check-through their baggage and pass through immigration at the departure point and on their return in transit lounge in DMK.

The airline sets a lowest one-way fare from Bangkok to Seoul at THB5,990. Fare includes airport taxes and fees.
