Vietnam eases duty-free rules

HANOI Vietnam’s Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung, approves new regulation for airline passengers to be able to purchase duty-free goods on international flights bound for Vietnam effective 1 November.
Tuoi Tre news reported the concession will take effect November, when a new tax-free shopping regulation becomes law that gives Vietnam-based airlines the same freedom to sell duty-free goods as applies to international airlines.inside no 3
inside no 3The new rule applies to Vietnamese airlines flying international routes to Vietnam.
The current rule allows all airlines flying from Vietnam to sell duty-free goods, but the new rule extends duty-free sales to both inbound and outbound flights for airlines owned and operated out of Vietnam.
