BANGKOK  Thai AirAsia X intends to launch flights from Bangkok to Shanghai, later this month.
According to Routes Online, the proposed daily service between Bangkok (DMK) and Shanghai (Pudong Airport) will start 28 September, subject to regulatory approval.
The airline proposed a daily service according to the Routes Online report.
The proposed schedule indicates flight XJ760 will depart Bangkok at 0015 and arrive in Shanghai at 0530. The return flight, XJ761, will take off from Shanghai at 0650 and arrive in DMK at 1015.
inside no 1The airline currently operates services from Bangkok (DMK) to Tokyo (NRT), with twice daily flights, Osaka (KIX) daily, and Seoul (ICN) daily.
Thai AirAsia X temporarily suspended services to Sapporo, Japan, 1 August, due to an unresolved Thai aviation failure related to security and safety procedure checks that the ICAO claimed the DCA fell short of its standard.
However, Thai AirAsia X was given temporary permission from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) to fly a daily service from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to New Chitose Airport (CTS) in Sapporo, to ensure minimum impact on passengers. AirAsia X (Malaysia) also supplied flights to reduce the impact.
However, due to a failure of the Thailand’s Department of Civil Aviation to resolve issues according to ICAO standards, the airline was forced to suspend Sapporo flights indefinitely.
