The Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) recently released its report for May 2015.

The report for Jazeera Airways stated that the airline’s operational performance report showed a 11% increase in total flown passengers from May 2014.

The increase of flown passengers follows consecutive increases in March 2015, and April 2015, which were up three and 14% respectively from same respective months last year.

On routes serving Istanbul, Beirut, and Amman, the airline witnessed a 12% increase in flown passengers from May 2014. The increase was driven by a strong continued demand for Istanbul and Amman.

Flown passengers also increased on routes serving Egypt by 16% from May 2014 despite Jazeera Airways serving five Egyptian cities during the month, compared to six cities in May 2014. The decrease in number of served cities follows temporary closure of Assiut International Airport for renovations since June 2014.

On the Gulf routes of Dubai, Bahrain, Jeddah and Riyadh, Jazeera Airways had a seven percent increase in flown passengers, compared to May 2014.
