China Eastern to resume Auckland flights

China Eastern Airlines will resume its direct flights between Shanghai and Auckland in September.

The airline operated its seasonal flights on the route from December 2014 to March 2015, and will resume the service on 26 September 2015 with four weekly flights.

Services will depart Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 0010, arriving at Auckland International Airport at 1715. The return flights will the leave Auckland at 2200 and get back into Shanghai at 0530 the next day.

China Eastern will deploy a two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the route, offering 30 seats in business class and 204 in economy.

Currently, Air New Zealand operates four weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) between Shanghai and Auckland using its Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
