SINGAPORE Lion Air has selected global technology provider, Sabre Corporation, to deliver an end-to-end airline operations and crew management platform that will optimise daily operations and reduce costs.

Sabre AirCentre’s airline operations, crew and disruption management technologies and mobile capabilities are being deployed simultaneously across Indonesia’s largest private carrier and its entire group.

The deal includes subsidiary airline; Batik Air, Wings Air, Malindo Air, and Thai Lion Air.

The airline’s management said it would support route network and fleet expansion in the region.

By 2034, Asia Pacific will make up over 40% of global passenger traffic[i], placing increasing pressure on airport capacity levels and the airlines operating in them.

“To address growing complexities facing the airline operations environment, we’ve been investing in new technologies and key strategic partnerships to deliver an integrated suite of solutions that seamlessly controls all operations,” said Kamal Qatato, vice president, Sabre Airline Solutions.
