Thai Smile expands India services

BANGKOK, 7 October 2016: Thai Smile will inaugurate flights connecting Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) to Jaipur and Lucknow in India.

The Bangkok-Jaipur route will launch, 15 November, while the Bangkok-Lucknow service will start 1 December.

The airline started services from Bangkok to Gaya and Varanasi 1 October.

inside no 1The airline’s CEO, Woranate Laprabang, said the four new routes will help to tap growing demand for travel between the two countries.

“These flights are part of our strategy to serve India…and create connectivity with our network in Thailand,” he said.

The airline will use A320 aircraft on the routes configured with 12 premium economy class seats and 154 in economy class.

In addition, Thai Smile appointed The Bird Group as its general sales agent for the Indian market, with immediate effect.

 The Bird Group will handle the airline’s sales development, bookings and ticketing services within India, as well as conduct direct marketing and service support to Indian travel agents.

The airline sells one-way promotion fares ex-Bangkok starting at THB7,380 to Jaipur and Lucknow and THB13,280 to Gaya and Varanasi. Fares include taxes and fees.

Bookings and travel periods are open until 25 March next year.
