HO CHI MINH CITY An extension of the international terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, in Ho Chi Minh City is now open.
The three-level wing that stands east of the old T2 terminal, opened last week with 8,780 square metres of floor space.
Tuoi Tre News said the newly-opened wing added seven additional boarding gates to the airport, three of which have jet bridges.
The building has an area for passengers to relax featuring 20 couches and a 40-square-metre children’s playground operated by the Southern Airports Services JSC (SASCO).
The expanded terminal is equipped with 10 mini bedrooms that passengers rent, each measuring approximately 4 sqm.
For the first half of the year, the airport reported 107,906 flights carried 16 million passengers, an increase of 21.93% and 25.37%, respectively, over the same period last year.
