The company claimed it would use Heathrow Airport as a business model for developing Thai airports. The London airport suffers from air traffic congestion and is awaiting a new runway. Its multiple terminals are  overcrowded and transfers between terminals inconvenient.

Singapore’s Changi, recognised as the world’s best airport by various ranking agencies, would have been a better model to copy.

AEROTHAI is tasked with the challenge of upgrading personnel and equipment in a bid to minimize flight delays and boost the country’s capacity to 2.7 million flights per year by 2032.
