World Travel and Tourism Council and Travel Association Summit come together to host travel conference

Posted Date: Saturday, 17-Sep-2011

PhoCusWright, the travel industry research authority, and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the authority on world travel and tourism, will cohost the inaugural Travel Association Summit@The PhoCusWright Conference, November 15-17, 2011 in Hollywood, Florida, USA (Ft. Lauderdale/Miami).

The PhoCusWright Conference annually attracts over 1,200 senior executives from 30+ countries to debate, discuss, and define the future of travel. Associations representing a diverse range of sectors, geographies, and objectives will collaborate to meet common goals and collectively advance the global travel, tourism, and hospitality industry.

PhoCusWright’s partnership with WTTC amplifies the event’s impact, forging lasting relationships among associations that will continue to yield dividends long after the gathering.

“As the world’s largest industry continues to evolve, travel industry trade associations are faced with new challenges in growing membership, building revenue streams, and getting their message heard,” said Philip Wolf, Chairman of PhoCusWright.

“The Travel Association Summit will explore common ground and leverage economies of scale to foster efficient collaboration on shared goals – liberating individual associations to devote more of their own resources to meeting their niche objectives,” said WTTC President and CEO David Scowsill.
The PhoCusWright Conference takes place November 15-17, 2011 in Hollywood, Florida, USA (Ft. Lauderdale/Miami). Travel Association Summit attendees will collaborate during a private luncheon on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, with a targeted working session on Wednesday morning, November 16.
