Concorde Hotel Singapore awarded Singapore Green Hotel Award 2013

SINGAPORE – Concorde Hotel Singapore has won the Singapore Green Hotel Award 2013, in recognition of their outstanding efforts in conserving energy, water and managing waste more efficiently.
Concorde Hotel Singapore’s General Manager, Mr. Leo Llambi remarked: “We are honoured to have received the Singapore Green Hotel Award 2013. This award is a clear endorsement of the superior green initiatives we have adopted at Concorde Hotel Singapore.”
From 2011 to 2012, Concorde Hotel Singapore has recycled an average of 2430kg of papers, 440kg of plastics and almost 200kg of used oil. The Hotel’s Green Committee organised educational programs and activities for the staff, such as an excursion visit to one of Singapore’s incineration plants in March 2013, and the hotel has also participated in Earth Hour 2013.
The Singapore Green Hotel Award 2013 is presented by the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) and supported by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), National Environment Agency (NEA), PUB Singapore’s National Water Agency and Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
