BANGKOK - Best Western Royal Buriram Hotel in Buriram, 395km northeast of Bangkok, welcomed its first guests this week following a major launch event attended by the hotel’s owning company, senior local dignitaries and representatives from BWI and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

BWI’s Director of Operations for Asia, Philippe Anric, addressed the opening ceremony:

“I am delighted to be here today as we embark on another exciting chapter in the story of Best Western, and in the history of Buriram,” Mr. Anric said.

“The opening of the Best Western Royal Buriram Hotel, in the very heart of the city, means that for the very first time visitors to Buriram will be able to stay in a globally-recognized, internationally-branded hotel, with a complete range of modern facilities and an incredible level of service.

“Best Western’s decision to move into Buriram reflects the incredible confidence we have in this city. We truly believe that Buriram, and northeast Thailand, lie at the center of an exciting new era in Asian travel,” Mr. Anric added

Located in the center of the city, BEST WESTERN Royal Buriram Hotel offers 79 contemporary rooms, all featuring such modern amenities as complimentary Wi-Fi, 32-inch LCD televisions with international satellite channels, minibars and room service.

For business travelers, the hotel’s excellent location, international amenities and high level of connectivity make it the perfect option. For leisure travelers, Buriram is the gateway to a wealth of attractions, including the stunning Angkor-style temples of Phanom Rung Historical Park.
