Destination Asia retains top tourism award for fourth year

JAKARTA - Destination Asia is pleased to announce that we have been named Indonesia’s leading Destination Management Company for the fourth consecutive year.

The 2013 “Indonesia Leading DMC” award was conferred in the presence of 1,000 travel industry professionals at the Indonesia Travel and Tourism Awards (ITTA) held at the Ritz Carlton Jakarta Mega Kuningan on 16 December.

The prestigious awards ceremony is known as the “Oscars of the Indonesian tourism industry”. Held under the slogan of: “Awarding the Best, Inspiring the Rest,” the prizes are awarded annually to exceptional hotels, resorts, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, airports and tourism boards in Indonesia who exceed standards of quality and hospitality. Award recipients must prove they are the leading brands in the country and have provided exemplary service over the past 12 months.

Initial selection is through online voting. Leading candidates are then assessed by the ITTA Board of Advisors Foundation, a body which consists of industry experts from Indonesia and abroad. The ITTA Foundation is a non-governmental organization established in early 2010. Its main objective is to facilitate and contribute to the development of Indonesia’s tourism sector.
