BANGKOK - Following a high profile opening and multi-award winning first year, The Siam has established itself as one of the most unique hotels in the world, known for its distinctive design and exquisite service. The Siam has started the New Year as it means to go on, securing two more sought after world-class accolades. Declared The Best Slinky City Sensation by the Tatler UK Travel Awards 2014 in December, The Siam has also been awarded with the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller UK Gold Standard 2014, securing the Best City Hotels in the recently announced list.

The prestigious Gold Standard recognises the best hotels in the world as exclusively chosen by the editors of the Conde Nast Traveller. With just seventeen spectacular properties chosen globally for 2014, The Siam is the only hotel in Thailand and one of only two in Asia. Other laureates include the famous Copacabana Palace in Rio, the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong and the Greenwich Hotel in New York City.

The Tatler UK Travel Awards, in which The Siam scooped Best Slinky City Sensation 2014, are among the most prominent accolades given by a widely read luxury lifestyle magazine. The Siam was one of only 8 hotels recognised globally and the only one in Thailand, securing the city hotel prize.

General Manager Jason Friedman accepted both awards on behalf of his team and commented, “We are humbled to have been recognised by two of the most respected publications in the lifestyle and travel industries. We continue to strive to offer our guests an exceptional experience in Bangkok and it is encouraging for the team to have their efforts valued so highly. We are excited about the year ahead for The Siam, welcoming our guests to our special riverside home in Bangkok”.

Set on three acres of verdant frontage along the Chao Phraya River, The Siam is a private 39-room luxury retreat located in Bangkok’s royal historic district. Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Bill Bensley and creative director Krissada Sukosol-Clapp, the Art Deco inspired, Thai antique infused masterpiece will be the kingdom’s premier urban resort.

Guests have an array of superlative amenities at their fingertips: Chon Thai Restaurant, The Deco Bar & Bistro, Cafe Cha – Patisserie, The Cooking School, Opium Spa, gymnasium, yoga terrace, Muay Thai boxing ring, beauty salon, library/cinema, infinity pool, gift/antiques gallery, conservatory and traditional Thai houses.

To celebrate these awards, The Siam has created an exciting offer:
