Top landmarks and parks

Parks and landmarks have their day in the sun thanks to TripAdvisor’s latest Travellers’ Choice™ awards for attractions.
The awards recognise top landmarks and parks worldwide.
The lists identified 929 winners, including the top 25 in the world and dedicated lists for Asia, Australia, Canada, China, Europe, India, Mexico, South America, the South Pacific, the UK and the US.
India’s Taj Mahal was the top landmark in Asia, while Machu Picchu, Peru, topped the global list.
Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia, was the second on the Asia list and sixth on the global listing.
Bangkok’s Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Po), was ranked eighth on the Asian list.
“TripAdvisor travellers have helped identify some of the best attractions around the globe,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor.
Travellers’ Choice awards honour top travel spots, worldwide, based on reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travellers. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews for landmark and park attractions worldwide, gathered over a year.
