Centara beefs up China sales

Centara Hotels and Resorts senior vice president for sales and marketing, Chris Bailey, has announced the appointment of Xihan Hao as marketing manager for China.
Hao will be based at Centara’s head office in Bangkok.
Prior to his new appointment, he managed the MICE business of Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, taking care of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Middle East markets, where he was responsible for successfully bringing residential conference and event business to the property.

Hao, who joined Centara in September 2013, will be looking after sales activities in the China market in conjunction with the recently opened regional sales office in Shanghai, such as contracting, promoting Centara properties to targeted clients and dealing with Thai-based China market agencies.
Centara regional sales office-Shanghai’s sale team is led by director of sales, Max Ma with team members, Ms Selena Liu, as assistant director of sales and Ms Kathy Wang as sales manager.
Collectively the team in Bangkok and Shanghai, have a target to grow total sales for the group to more than 230,000 room nights in 2014.
