DELHI Chennai Airport scored high in the latest service quality survey by Airports Council International, India’s press information bureau reported earlier this week.
It was quoting from the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI) worldwide.
Chennai Airport scored 4.30 points in Quarter 2 (April to June) this year as compared with 4.10 points in the Quarter I (January to March).
This rating has earned the airport a second position among all the airports managed by Airports Authority of India (AAI) after Kolkatta. The result was also higher than the target set by the Ministry of Civil Aviation which was 4.20.
Chennai Airport climbed to 56th position in the global rank list as against the 114th position in the first quarter.
The highest rating was 4.98 for Quarter II scored by ICN-Seoul Incheon Airport.
ACI conducts the survey of 220 to 225 International airports on quarterly basis. It considers 33 parameters to assess the satisfaction level of passengers, both international and domestic, on a five-point scale.
