Exclusive new travel app launched in UK

Tourism Australia has partnered with Britain’s Telegraph Media Group to launch a free destination app to help potential UK holidaymakers plan their own Australian adventures.

The travel app offers Australian holiday itineraries as well as seven downloadable stand-alone travel guides each representing a different region of Australia.

Denise von Wald, Tourism Australia's Regional General Manager UK/Northern Europe, says the app will be a huge help for British tourists wanting to make the most of Australia’s array of attractions.

“The app offers Australian holidays in a variety of two, three and four week itineraries. The creation of seven individual state and territory guides also helps explain the diversity of the country’s attractions, giving insider tips from local experts on how to make the most of a stay in each region," she said.

Charles Starmer-Smith, Travel Editor for the Daily Telegraph, says the free app, which has already been downloaded by 120,000 people, highlights “only the very best of this wonderfully diverse country”.
