Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts to expand portfolio in Bali

BALI, Indonesia - Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts announced the signing of a new management agreement with PT. Sharandy Land for a third Waldorf Astoria property in Indonesia. Scheduled to open in 2018, the 100-key Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will be the fourth Waldorf Astoria property in Southeast Asia following the planned openings of Waldorf Astoria properties in Bangkok, Bukit Pandawa-Bali and Jakarta.

Situated along the famous Ayung River, the longest waterway on Bali Island, Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will be located in the lush surrounds of Sayan, a small Balinese village in Ubud. Against a pristine natural backdrop, the luxury resort will offer an exclusive address, approximately five kilometers from central Ubud, the cultural and artistic capital of Bali, and 31.4 kilometers away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Ubud is one of Bali’s most luxurious and exclusive precincts, renowned as a center for Balinese arts and culture featuring most of the island’s artist workshops and galleries. The new Waldorf Astoria property in Ubud will offer guests a tranquil, cultural experience amidst the charming surrounds of rice paddy fields and rich foliage, complementary to the leisure experiences in pristine beaches and emerald clear waters of Bali.

Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will span eight hectares and offer 100 luxurious suites and villas. Set on the slopes of a terraced rice paddy, all suites and villas offer amazing view of the verdant greenery and Ayung River. Guests can select from the ultra-luxurious villas which range from one-bedroom to five-bedroom each well-appointed with a private pool.

Reflecting the brand’s distinctiveness, Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud resort will feature the finest dining experiences including two restaurants and a destination bar. The resort will also offer a range of exclusive events facilities with three meetings and events rooms, a wedding chapel, outdoor event lawn, and a business center.
