JNTO reaching Singapore MICE buyers through a targeted roadshow in Singapore

SINGAPORE – Japan National Tourism Organization is reaching Singapore MICE buyers through a targeted roadshow for the first time in Singapore. In partnership with TTG Events, Japan aims to connect with some 40 Singapore buyers comprising of Association Executives and board members, AMCs, Meeting Planners, PCOs, PEOs and other MICE procurers, to promote the country as the ideal meeting destination for international conventions.

“Japan’s high quality hotels and convention facilities, coupled with professional services and kind hospitality of the Japanese are major assets well appreciated by many meeting organisers as well as their important delegates”, said Etsuko Kawasaki, Director of Japan Convention Bureau.

She continued, “Japan has held some successful conventions and congresses recently in 2013 and 2014. One notable congress is the World Ophthalmology Congress 2014 with an approximate attendance of 20,000 delegates, the largest-ever international conference that was held in Tokyo and the biggest medical conference in Japan to date.”

Held at the Marina Bay Sands on 3 October 2014, the roadshow will spotlight high MICE appeal Japanese cities including Chiba and Matsue through detailed presentations on the latest infrastructure, facilities and capabilities. JNTO and their partnering representatives will be on-hand to participate in focused business discussions with buyers on their requirements for holding their next business event in Japan.
