Double air filtration & purification at Grand Hyatt Beijing

BEIJING - Putting the comfort and well-being of our guests above everything else, Grand Hyatt Beijing has recently invested in a second advanced and high efficiency air filter system in addition to the existing central HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) system. This investment is part of the multi-million dollar guestroom and Grand Club Lounge remodelling programme which the hotel has embarked on.

The current central HVAC system features an advanced filter design that provides high ‘particulate air’ filtration efficiency throughout the entire premises, including all the AHU (Air Handling Units) and the PAU (Primary Air Units). Together with the current HVAC system, the technology is an added value offering for guests to assure not only the best filtered, but the most purified air available 24 hours daily. Automatic air quality sensors will continuously monitor the quality of the outdoor air. When the air quality in the city drops below an acceptable level, the system will automatically turn on acting as an additional layer of filtration to ensure that the indoor air is not affected. By swiftly and successfully minimising PM2.5 pollutants, the new air filter system combined with the existing central HVAC will maintain the ideal air quality as per international obligations on standards of air quality, resulting in an environment that optimises the health and well-being of our guests and associates. In each guestroom, individual air filters have been fitted to further improve on the air quality and to minimise allergens, dust and odours.

As part of the Oriental Plaza, Grand Hyatt Beijing integrates a premium shopping mall, six Grade A office towers, two high-end serviced apartments, and all these buildings are now installed with this advanced and high efficiency air filter system. The hotel, office towers, apartments and shopping mall are connected seamlessly as part of the Oriental Plaza, China’s largest commercial complex situated in the heart of the city’s prestigious Wangfujing business and commercial district. Hence, guests will enjoy a seamless and comfortable experience when strolling from the hotel to the malls, offices and apartments.

Following the debut of Grand Hyatt Beijing’s Grand Premium rooms in the first quarter of 2013, the excitement continued with the unveiling of the latest, all new collection of Grand Suites in November 2013. In the first quarter of 2014, the hotel also launched the newly remodelled Club Deluxe Room, a contemporary open-plan room and the newly remodelled Club Deluxe Two-Bedroom Suite. The new Grand Club Lounge was also unveiled in March. In June, the hotel was proud to present five new Diplomat Suites.
