Nok introduces Japanese website

BANGKOK Nok Air adds Japanese language to its website to make it easier for Japanese travellers to browse and book fares on the site.
Nok Air’s CEO, Patee Sarasin, said the Japanese language enabled website will allow Japanese travellers to access the most extensive domestic airline network in Thailand, conveniently in their native language.
“We’re very excited to launch the Japanese version of our website, as it will open up opportunities for us to serve even more Japanese passengers. We have seen a big increase in Japanese passengers and we expect numbers to continue growing in next year.”
inside no 1In 2013, 1,537,979 Japanese travelled to Thailand, according to Ministry of Tourism and Sports’ data.
The Japanese language website is accessible by clicking the “JP” button on the language on the website’s tabs.

Established in 2004, Nok Air operates from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport with a fleet of 16 Boeing 737-800, two ATR 72-500, and two Q400 NextGen aircraft, serving 24 domestic routes and one international route.
Fleet expansion is in place with confirmed orders for six Bombardier Q400 NextGen, and seven Boeing 737-800 Next-Generation and right Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
Nok Air and Scoot of Singapore Airlines’ low-cost unit signed a Memorandum of Understanding, 16 December 2013, to establish a new low-cost airline that will be based in at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok.
Scoot™ operates medium and long haul no-frills flights between Singapore and Sydney, Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Tianjin, Shenyang, Nanjing, Qingdao, Seoul, Hong Kong and Perth.
Scoot shifted all of its Bangkok flights from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) 1 September, when it begins commercial cooperation with Thailand’s Nok Air.
The Nok Air tie-up will allow Scoot to offer its passengers connections to 21 domestic destinations in Thailand as the first part of the joint venture.
