PG opens Chiang Mai hub

BANGKOK Bangkok Airways, has introduced four new nonstop services from Chiang Mai to Phuket and Udon Thani in Thailand and Mandalay and Yangon in Myanmar.
The new services started 26 and 27 October.
Airline vice president – sales, Ariya Prasarttong-Osoth said: “Chiang Mai will be an important hub for Thailand’s tourism industry.
Inside8 “Chiang Mai is a gateway to the Mekong Region and making it our second hub, will enhance Bangkok Airways’ ability to support the growing demand for air travel when the AEC takes place next year.
The airline is currently offering special web fares on the four new routes. For instance, Chiang Mai–Phuket (single trip) starts from THB2,290, Chiang Mai-Udon Thani (single trip) at THB 1,590, Chiang Mai-Mandalay (single trip) starts from THB1,445 (fares exclude taxes and surcharges).

Passengers can use the airline’s airport lounges at Suvarnabhumi and enjoy free Wi-Fi Internet access.
Flights between Chiang Mai and Udon Thani started 26 October with two flights daily using an ATR72-500 aircraft with 70 seats.
A daily flight between Chiang Mai and Phuket operate with Airbus A320 aircraft with 162 seats.
The Chiang Mai and Mandalay service operates three times a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) using an ATR72-500 aircraft with 70 seats.
The Chiang Mai and Yangon operates four flights weekly (Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday) using an ATR72-500 aircraft.
