Amari travel to Maldives

BANGKOK  ONYX Hospitality Group will open Amari Havodda Maldives in the first quarter of 2016.
The group president and CEO, Peter Henley, said his sales team will promote the upcoming property at World Travel Market 2014 that opens today in London.
“Tourism in the Maldives is strong and we see huge potential for a brand like Amari. Our entry into the Maldives with Amari Havodda marks a key step in our international development plan.”
inside no 3 Set to open in Q1 2016, Amari Havodda is owned by Crystal Plaza Resorts, a joint venture between Sri Lankan construction giant, Sanken Overseas and a Miami-based Saudi entrepreneur, Laith Pharaon. The resort will be managed by ONYX Hospitality Group.
The resort will offer two principal villa types, ‘beach’ and ‘overwater’, each providing uninterrupted views over the reef and the ocean beyond.
In total, the property will have 120 villas, including 48 beach villas, 12 beach pool villas, 58 overwater villas and two overwater pool villas.
inside no 3.1Located on an island 400 km from the capital Male in the southern Gaafu Dhaalu atoll, guests will need to take a 55-minute domestic flight followed by a speedboat transfer after they arrive at Male airport.
ONYX Hospitality Group currently manages 51 properties and projects throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The group expects to have 81 properties by 2018.
