Airlines offer bargains at fair

BANGKOK  Airlines are discounting fares by around 20% during the 33rd Thai Tiew Thai fair hosted at Impact Muang Thong Thani over this weekend.
The domestic travel fair opened Thursday and continues until late Sunday evening, 9 November. Fare discounts are the main draw for most show goers estimated to top 100,000 visitors by the close this Sunday.
Nok Air sells a one-way fare, inclusive of airport taxes and surcharges, at THB880 to Phitsanulok, Lampang, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, and Krabi from its base at Don Mueang Airport, Bangkok, including its Chiang Mai-Udon Thani route.
inside no 4A THB990 fare is on sale to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Hat Yai, Phuket, Surat Thani and Trang.
Nok Air also offers a THB1,110 fare to Nan, Phrae, Mae Sot, Roi Et, Loei, Buri Ram, Chumporn and Ranong. The same fare also sells to Yangon.
The travel period is 16 November to 30 September next year.
Thai AirAsia sells a one-way fare, inclusive of airport taxes, at THB590 to Phitsanulok and Khon Kaen.
A THB690 fare is on offer to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Krabi, Phuket, and Hat Yai.
Using the airline’s Fly Thru service the fare is THB840 to Pai (land transfer from Chiang Mai airport) and Sukhothai (from Phitsanulok airport), Khao Lak (from Krabi) and Khanom (from Nakhon Si Thammarat).
A THB1,090 fare is also on offer to islands — Tao, Samui, Phangan, Lipe, Phi Phi, Lanta, Ngai, and Yao Noi combining air fare and land transfer from the nearest airports (Surat Thani and Krabi).
Fares to international destinations start at THB1,190 to Yangon, THB1,290 to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, THB1,590 to Mandalay and Phnom Penh, and THB1,650 to Siem Reap, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Singapore.
A THB2,390 fare is on offer to China’s Kunming, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Chongqing, Changsha including Macau and Hong Kong.
Travel period is 8 November to 31 May next year.
All fares are only on offer to fair goers until Sunday evening.
