BANGKOK - Best Western International has opened its second hotel in Bangladesh at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

BEST WESTERN PLUS Maple Leaf is a brand new upscale hotel located on the doorstep of Bangladesh’s main international gateway.

This modern hotel features 50 contemporary rooms and suites, ranging from 25m² to 80m². All units come equipped with the latest guest amenities, such as 40-inch flat-screen HD TVs with international satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities, minibars, LED lighting and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Guests can sample local and international fusion cuisine at the Tarragon all-day dining restaurant, or grab a light snack at the Maple Cafe. And making the most of the hotel’s superb location, the Cloud 11 rooftop bar and Charcoal rooftop barbecue allow guests to relax and unwind, enjoying sumptuous grilled meats and cooling drinks while overlooking the city skyline and sparkling lights of the airport.

The hotel’s vast range of facilities is completed by a modern business center, meeting room, spa, laundry services and complimentary airport shuttle.

“With its huge population and thriving manufacturing industry, Bangladesh is fast becoming one of Asia’s new tiger economies,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President of International Operations for Asia & Middle East.

“And as the main air gateway for the world’s eighth most populous country, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has a vast amount of potential. That’s why we’re so exciting to welcome BEST WESTERN PLUS Maple Leaf into our Asian collection."

“With its array of upscale amenities combined with Best Western’s legendary service standards, I am confident this excellent new hotel will become popular with both domestic and international travelers alike,” Mr. de Souza added.

BEST WESTERN PLUS Maple Leaf becomes Best Western’s second hotel in Bangladesh, joining the Italian-inspired BEST WESTERN La Vinci Hotel in downtown Dhaka. And the company has firm plans to open a further two hotels in the country, including its first in the city of Cox’s Bazar.
