Indonesia Volcano eruption has slowed down tourism especially in Sumatra. Mount Sinabung Volcano eruption has affected Indonesia Tourism as tourists stays away due to Volcanic eruption.
Local Tour operators are reporting that Berastagi,a popular tourist destination in North Sumatra has started to suffer due to Volcano eruption.
Tourists are not buying packages for Berastagi due to being close to the Mount Sinabung Volcano. Other destinations of Norther Sumatra are also witnessing decline in tourists arrivals.
Mount Sinabung Volcano erupted on Sunday after 400 years which forced people in the surrounding areas to leave their homes and go some safe place. Since then Volcano re-erupted once again on Monday and it was followed by more evacuations.
But after that Volcano seemed to have died down and people started to go back to their homes despite warning by the government. And yesterday Mount Sinabung erupted once again which is considered most powerful eruption in the volcano so far.
Tourists are little scared to travel in Northern Sumatra, especially regions around the Mount Sinabung Volcano. They are also cautious due to shortage of food in some cities because of shelters and volcano Eruption.
