HONG KONG - A2A Safaris (formerly Asia to Africa Safaris) launches Latin America and Antarctica bespoke travel services under the sub-brand A2A Journeys. With over a decade’s experience offering bespoke journeys and experiences to their Asia-based clientele for off-the-beaten-track destinations throughout Africa, they now bring their specialist and deep knowledge to these exciting territories in Latin America and the Antarctic.

A2A Journeys offers the same personalised service and the highest quality journeys that clients have come to expect from A2A Safaris, the first safari specialist to recognise Asians’ quest for luxury adventures in wild places, but now include new destinations including Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Mexico and Antarctica.

The new destination offering fulfils clients’ wishes on exploring new exotic countries, while riding on the back of double-digit year on year growth in travel from Asia to the Latin American and Antarctica continents. Peru for instance has seen an increase of travel up to 11% from 2011 to 2012, and a rise to 50% from 2012 to 2013 (Peru Ministry of Tourism).

“We are confident that we’ll continue to fulfil our mission of ensuring our Asian based travellers an adventure and experience never to be forgotten. Latin America, with its diverse vibrant cultures, incredible and unique cuisine, diverse wine regions and natural grandeurs such as the Galapagos Islands, Patagonia’s mountainous and glacial landscapes, the Amazon, and World heritage sites such as Machu Picchu, will continue to give our clients an amazing experience and memories of a lifetime,” says Victor Dizon, co-founder of A2A Safaris.

To support the growth into the new market, Steph Wetherell, a Latin America specialist, has been brought on board to head up A2A Journeys and itinerary planning. “With over five years of experience, Steph brings deep insight and experience in Latin American tourism. She also lived and worked in various parts of Latin America. She will be instrumental in developing the business from Asia and in assisting our clients as they make their way through a continent that is rich in history, culture and natural wonders,” says Kim Nixon, Managing Director – Asia of A2A Safaris.

“The diversity of Latin American sights, sound and scenery never ceases to amaze, and I’m excited to share with our existing and new clients in Asia all that the vast continent has to offer. Antarctica is another once in a lifetime adventure which can be easily combined with a trip to Latin America, flying there from Chile or taking a cruise from Argentina. Clients can opt for the longer three-week cruises that take in the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, as well as the much shorter five-night express cruises. A2A Journeys is here to help our clients plan their trip so that they don’t end up spending all their time in the air and not enough on the ground,” comments Wetherell.

A2A Journeys strong strategic partnerships with top travel operators in Latin America give it preferred access to leading sights. The company continues to offer expertly designed & personalised trips for a variety of travellers, from couples to large families looking for a well-priced adventure, honeymooners wanting a once in a lifetime romantic getaway, to retired clients who might have longer to spend and want to explore at a more leisurely pace. A2A Journeys will initially offer trips to six destinations in Latin America, namely Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Peru and Mexico, as well as cruises to the Antarctic.
