3 Thai destinations among Asia is top-10

Phuket, Bangkok and Koh Samui have been voted among the top-10 best Holiday Destinations in Asia, according to a survey by online travel magazine SmartTravelAsia.com.
The survey, now in its sixth year, was conducted during May to July among its readers who on average made 13.56 air trips over the past 12 months generating some US$ 164,501 (about 5.1 million baht) in household income.
The survey spanned 11 categories including airlines, hotels, spas and tourist destinations in Asia.
Leading the list of top-10 Holiday Destinations in Asia was Kerala in India, followed by Bali, Phuket, Hong Kong, with Hoi An (Vietnam), the Maldives and Palawan (the Philippines) joint 5th, Bangkok and Shanghai joint 6th, Hanoi and Langkawi joint 7th, Samui and Rajasthan (India) joint 8th, Seoul and Boracay (the Philippines) joint 9th, while Angkor, Goa (India) and Penang shared the 10th place.
* The top-10 Cities for Business in Asia were in the following order: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangalore, Tokyo and Beijing which shared the 9th place, and Sydney.
* The top-10 Airlines Worldwide were Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Thai Airways (in 3rd place last year), Jet Airways and Virgin Airlines (joint 5th), British Airways, Lufthansa and Malaysia Airlines (joint 7th), Qantas, Korean Air, and Qatar Airways and Air France (joint 10th).
Singapore Airlines topped the Cabin Service category, with Thai Airways and Cathay Pacific Airways sharing the second place.
The business class of Singapore Airlines was also voted the best worldwide while Thai Airways dropped a notch from last year to 4th place.
Best in the Budget Airline category was AirAsia while Nok Air fell from 5th to 7th place. The world's top three airports, according to the survey, were Changi in Singapore, Hong Kong International Airport and Thailand's Suvarnabhumi which retained its position from last year.
