Perth Convention Bureau announces Board Director appointments

A field of seven candidates stood for election to fill two vacancies on the Board of the Perth Convention Bureau. Their successful nominations were confirmed at the 42nd Annual General Meeting held at Crown Perth on Monday 17 November.

The successful elected candidates were:

Renee Bennett, Director of Events, EECW Pty Ltd; and
Chad D’Souza, Executive General Manager, ADAMS.

They join existing elected Directors:
Michael Altieri, Director Events & Conferences, Crown Perth
David Constantine, General Manager, Parmelia Hilton Perth
Nigel Keen, General Manager, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre
Chris Pye, Chief Executive Officer/Owner, The Terrace Hotel Perth.

The AGM also marked the end of an era for Consultative Directors Les Corner (formerly of West Australian Newspapers) and Consultant, Wayne Ticehurst, whose terms concluded. Both had served for many years on PCB’s board and their considerable contribution was acknowledged at the AGM.

Two new Consultative Directors were appointed by the Board of Directors at a meeting held prior to the AGM:

Gaye McMath, Chief Operating Officer, The University of Western Australia; and Nicole Moody, Manager Corporate Social Responsibility, Racing and Wagering WA. Their appointments would be for a two year term to the AGM in 2016.

PCB Chairman, Ian Laurance AM and Vice Chairman, Ian Gay remain as Consultative Directors for another year. The City of Perth representative appointed to PCB’s Board is Councillor Reece Harley.
