SuperBreak pulls Blackpool hotel that ‘fined’ for bad TripAdvisor review

SuperBreak has stopped selling the Broadway Hotel in Blackpool after the hotel ‘fined’ customers for leaving a bad TripAdvisor review.

The tour operator tweeted Travel Counsellor Cathie O’Dea that it had removed the hotel from sales after the bad review punishment made national headline news.

Tom and Jan Jenkinson described the hotel has a ‘rotten stinking hovel’ in their TripAdvisor review and later found an extra £100 on their bill for the £36-a-night stay.

The hotel’s booking form had outlined the clause, and is now under investigation by trading standards officials.

Broadway Hotel is ranked 858 out of 894 B&BS in Blackpool.
