SEPANG AirAsia X, the long-haul, low fare, affiliate of the AirAsia Group, has taken delivery of its 22nd Airbus A330-300 aircraft during a ceremony the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 last Friday.
The aircraft named “Rythmic Experience” is powered by Rolls-Royce’s 1,500th Trent 700 engine.
The celebration was attended by Rolls-Royce, president – Civil Large Engines Eric Schulz; Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace – Malaysia & Thailand sales director Joe Tink; Rolls-Royce Malaysia country director Saji Raghavan, AirAsia X chief executive officer Azran Osman-Rani and AirAsia Group head of engineering Anaz Ahmad Tajuddin.

The aircraft was delivered from Toulouse, France earlier in the week for the ceremony last week held in Kuala Lumpur.
AirAsia X now operates a fleet of 17 Airbus A330s installed with Trent 700 engines.
The new aircraft went into service over the weekend serving long haul routes in Asia Pacific.
