The leaders of the Altogether Perfect campaign which promotes Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens as business event destinations have congratulated Newcastle’s NOAH’S on the Beach hotel for winning a prestigious award in New Zealand.

The four-star, beachside hotel and conference centre received a Gold Star Award at Choice Hotels Australasia’s annual Franchisee of the Year awards held recently in Auckland. The accolade recognises excellence in customer relations, marketing, branding, franchisor relations, training and development, profitability and amenities.

This is the third year in a row NOAH’S on the Beach has won the award. The hotel’s General Manager, Debera Mackenzie, also received a Champion of Choice award at the NZ event. This accolade acknowledges individual exceptional service, effort and commitment to building the Choice Hotels brand.

Offering spectacular views over Newcastle Beach and harbour and located in the heart of the city’s heritage precinct, NOAH’S on the Beach boasts 91 rooms and eight function venues catering for up to 300 delegates.

The Newcastle representative of the $270,000 Altogether Perfect campaign, launched earlier this year to promote Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens as events and conference destinations, congratulated NOAH’S on the Beach on the double win.

“The two awards reflect the commitment the friendly and passionate team at NOAH’S on the Beach make to deliver excellence in hotel and conference facilities,” said Ms Cassie Mackay, Business and Leisure Events Officer for the Newcastle Convention Bureau. “The awards also show how an iron-clad commitment to training and development can pay off handsomely."

“NOAH’S on the Beach encapsulates the appeal of Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens as quality destinations for business events and Altogether Perfect congratulates the dedicated team there for these well-deserved wins."

“Together, the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Port Stephens offer unbeatable settings for successful and memorable business events,” Ms Mackay said.

Launched this year, the $270,000 ‘Altogether Perfect’ campaign is the name for the collaborative marketing efforts undertaken by regional partners in the Hunter Region to attract and secure business events tourism. Backed by Newcastle Convention Bureau, Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association and Destination Port Stephens and supported by dynamic industry operators, the joint marketing group attends trade fairs and sales missions and host visits to the region by key conference organisers and media to build the appeal of the Hunter region as a premier business tourism destination. The campaign received funding through the Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF) which is managed and administered by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
