BANGKOK  Winning Edge’s tourism guru, Bert van Walbeek, is co-organising a MICE strategies training seminar with Thailand Incentives and Conventions Association later this month.
The workshop is split into two modules (1.5 days each) 16 to 17 and 23 to 24 January at the Metropolitan by COMO, Bangkok.
“After a difficult year for MICE business, now is the time to revisit MICE strategies, or to re-focus MICE Marketing & Sales efforts for 2015, always keeping in mind that further crises will occur in the near future,” Walbeek said in the preamble for the workshop promotion.
“This year will challenge the stakeholders to do profitably more with less and only sharp destinations and organisations will survive, even thrive.”
inside no 4Known for a strong sales pitch and an ability to ask the right questions, Walbeek asks potential workshop attendees:
What are your number of (working and buying) accounts on your MICE sales platform?
What selection factors are important and can we be satisfied by our destination / organisation?
What is the sales force’s capability in selling the destination first, the organisation second?
What is the sales ratio between sales calls made, proposals send and business secured?
If you are not sure of the answers then Walbeek suggests you sign up for the training modules fast.
TICA’s, first training programme for 2015 is entitled “MICE Marketing & Sales The Experienced Way”.
Seats are limited to 25 participants and registration should be submitted to TICA via email: [email protected].
