PATA summit focuses on heritage

BANGKOK  Pacific Asia Travel Association annual summit will be hosted in Leshan, Sichuan, China 23 to 26 April.
Leshan Municipal People’s Government is supporting the event which includes s a one-day conference, the PATA Youth Symposium, the PATA executive board and committee meetings, and the Annual General Meeting.
The venue is Hong Zhu Shan Hotel.
inside no 7Heritage and Culture is the theme of this summit with an emphasis on challenge of preserving heritage and cultural sites in the face of a massive tourism boom in throughout Asia.
Speakers will address topics such as Preserving Heritage Sites, Social Media in China, and “The Conscious Traveller”.
Leshan is a prefecture-level city located at the confluence of the Dadu and Min rivers in the Sichuan Province of China The city is located on the south-western fringe of the Red Basin in southern Sichuan, about 120 km (75 miles) from Chengdu.
